The Katavi National Park is one of the Tanzania national  park established 1974 which located in the western part of Tanzania in Katavi and Rukwa regions. The park has about 4,471 square Kilometres (1,726 sq Km) where it becomes the third largest reserve in Tanzania. 
It is a far-distance reserve which regularly visited in Tanzania. The park includes the Katuma River, Lake Katavi and Lake Chada hence it characterized with large number of crocodiles and Hippopotamus




 Also, animals like lions and leopards have nothing to worry on their feeds, as in their empire there are groups of gazelle, zebras, and buffaloes. There are about 400 types of birds scattered on acacia trees and  river banks. Also  several groups of pelicans on the lake basin. 



It is common to see huge elephants eat grass and leaves in the ponds while their bodies covered by water and weeds.
